Today is #DontStepOnABeeDay - an awareness day created to remind people not to step on bees.... seems sensible...... but also to raise awareness of bees as vital pollinators.

We’ve all been there; we’re wandering around a garden centre and we get to the wildlife habitats section, we see all these cute bee ‘hotels’ and buy one, only to get it home and not know what to do with it.

Having watched far too many You Tube videos and been inspired by too many Pinterest posts, our dream to live a life of self reliance and off grid is one we keep making steps toward.
