The Wildflower Club is a friendly gathering of like-minded folk who enjoy gardens, wildlife, and the fascinating world of pollinators.
Meeting once a month on Sunday mornings throughout the summer, we’ll explore gardens across Norfolk and Suffolk—learning how they support bees and other wildlife, swapping planting tips, and, where possible, getting a peek inside working beehives (spare bee suits available for the curious!).
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a budding beekeeper, or just looking for an excuse to get outside, you’re welcome to join. In the winter, we’ll keep the inspiration going with talks from expert gardeners, beekeepers, and nature lovers.
This is a new club, so it will evolve with its members—come along and help shape it!

Hoe Hall
Sunday 25th May 2025 @ 10.30am
For our first garden visit we will be visiting the beautiful gardens of Hoe Hall which is famous for its white wisteria walk.
The garden was redesigned in 1990 to incorporate climbers and herbaceous plants, with box parterres replacing the kitchen garden. There are espaliered fruit trees, and an old swimming pool with water lilies.
Our group will have exclusive access to the gardens on this date and this visit includes tea and cake too!
-
Wyken Hall
Sunday 15th June 2025 @ 10am
The second meeting of the The Wildflower Club will be at the Wyken Hall Gardens.
These formal gardens are filled with topiary, roses, fruit trees and a knot garden. The garden is a Royal Horticultural Society Partner Garden and in 2023 was voted the East Anglian and Midlands favourite garden.
Either join our club below or pay as you go and let us know which garden you wish to visit.
-

Visits begin with a short talk about the house, garden, and its history, followed by time to explore the grounds. The outing ends with tea, coffee, and homemade cakes.

Mixed borders, a sunken greenhouse, pergola, and a wildlife pond. There is also a large productive ornamental kitchen garden with bees, chickens, treehouse, prairie planting and fruit cage. A real wildlife haven.

2025 Visits
Excursions take place all over Suffolk and Norfolk. Detailed information for each visit will be provided by email prior to the day. It is your responsibility to get to the location but if you need assistance let us know.
If you’d like to carpool please let us know and we can see if people want to meet up and drive together from convenient locations.
Can you help?
I am looking for venues to host The Wildflower Club. Either - beekeepers willing to open up your apiary so we can see your bees at work and learn a little about how you keep your bees, or people with pollinator friendly gardens who would be happy to give us a tour.
If you are located in Suffolk or Norfolk, England, please do get in touch via email at info@sunnyfieldshoney.com
