For Businesses
We help businesses connect with nature through tailored initiatives like hive sponsorships, team building, and speaking engagements; working together to improve employee engagement and achieving ESG commitments.
Worker Bee Corporate Hive Sponsorship
Sponsoring a beehive is a great way to bring a little bit of nature into your business whilst also fulfilling your business's commitment to being environmentally responsible.
We are passionate about promoting the benefits of our planet's vital pollinators and we understand the crucial role they play in the sustainability of our ecosystem. We all have a part to play in protecting and conserving these vital creatures and by sponsoring a beehive with us your business can directly contribute to the protection and conservation of our precious pollinators, while also meeting your Environmental Social Governance (ESG) commitments.
Our hive sponsorship programme “the worker bee” is a great way to engage with stakeholders, create positive change within your community, and spread awareness of the importance of pollinators. As part of the programme, we can visit local schools on your behalf to give educational talks, attend corporate events to speak on the importance of pollinators, and create engaging social media campaigns to promote your business's commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
We can also assist with the social value elements of your business's bid writing. Our knowledge in environmental sustainability can help you to develop innovative and impactful bid proposals that demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, helping you to win contracts and tenders while making a positive impact on the environment.
Packages can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your business; whether you are looking for a unique corporate responsibility initiative, a team-building activity, or an educational program.
Our standard package: includes one year's sponsorship of a Sunnyfields beehive, based in one of our beautiful apiaries and managed by our experienced beekeeper. The beehive will be solely sponsored by your company, and we will mount your company logo onto the hive; creating a visible sign of your commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
As a thank you for your sponsorship, we will provide you with a personalised, framed certificate, recognising your contribution to the protection of our pollinators. Throughout the year, we can also provide you with updates from your hive, including photos and videos of the bees and their progress, keeping you informed of their activity and development.
You are invited to visit your hive during the summer season of your sponsorship year, a team of 6 can attend a 2 hour bee experience, they will learn all about the bees being sponsored and how they impact the wider environment. Your team will also get the chance to hold a frame and experience the wonder of the bees up close!
If you can’t make the team hive visit then alternatively we can offer an online talk to help your employees understand more about bees, their importance and how they are making a difference.
Sponsoring a hive with us is a great way to engage your employees and customers by bringing the natural world into your business. You'll be safe in the knowledge that your company is providing a home to up to 50,000 honey bees as well as contributing to the ongoing awareness of the benefits of pollinators to the environment. If you would like to tailor-make your hive package, consider the following additional extras to your sponsorship:
Apiary visit upgrade options: invite more people to the bee experience, add a picnic lunch in the gardens or learn to make rolled beeswax candles.
Talks: we can create a talk tailored to your theme and audience or choose from one of our regular subjects. Talks can be delivered in person at your offices, conference, or online.
Competitions: Beehive naming competitions are fun ways of engaging your employees or customers.
Honey: if we have enough honey (we don’t always get much for ourselves as the bees keep most of it) and you wanted to share some with your staff or customers, we will sell this to you at a discounted rate.
If you have a unique idea for your business or want to create a bespoke hive sponsorship package that suits your specific needs, we'd love to hear from you! Just get in touch and we'll work with you to create a hive sponsorship package that is tailored to your needs and budget.
A note about bees and carbon offsetting
While sponsoring a beehive does not directly offset carbon emissions, it does indirectly contribute to mitigating climate change by supporting the health and wellbeing of pollinators.
Bees are important pollinators that play a crucial role in our ecosystem and contribute to the growth of many of the foods we eat. By sponsoring a beehive, you're supporting the conservation and protection of these vital creatures and their habitats.
Not only does this help to protect and promote biodiversity, but it also supports the growth of plants and flowers that absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which helps to offset your carbon footprint. So, by sponsoring a beehive, you can make a positive impact on the environment while also contributing to the environmental value of your business.
Please note: these packages are designed for the UK market, if you are located in another country and are interested in sponsoring a hive please contact us for more information and options.

Team Building With The Bees
As flexible and remote working become more common, building strong relationships within teams can be a challenge. This can lead to increased stress and a lack of trust among team members. To combat this, consider an offsite team building experience that combines the beauty of the English countryside with the ultimate example of teamwork on the planet - honey bees.
Our beekeeping team experiences at our training apiary in the peaceful East Anglian countryside offer a unique opportunity to observe and learn from these magnificent insects. As a superorganism, the honey bee colony works together for the greater good of the hive, providing a powerful example of collaboration and cooperation that can inspire your team.
Our experiences are fully customisable, with options such as crafts, honey tasting, and even a scavenger hunt. And if you need to hold a team meeting, our training room can accommodate your group. Plus, you'll enjoy a moment of mindfulness as you switch off from the hustle and bustle of work and focus on the beauty of nature.
Please note that bee experiences are only available between end-May and end-August each year, but we offer talks, crafts, honey tastings, and tours throughout the year. Come experience the magic of honey bees and watch your team thrive!
