Embrace the Buzz: Inspiring Talks on Bees and the Natural World
Are you looking for an interesting speaker and topic for your group or company? Sunnyfields founder, Stacy, is available to talk to groups and businesses about bees and the beekeeping life.
Stacy offers a range of captivating talks that aim to entertain, educate and spark a sense of wonder about the fascinating world of bees and the crucial role they play in our ecosystem. She stives to engage audiences with delightful stories, insights and practical advice on how to make a positive impact on our environment.
Talks can be delivered either via video call, in person at your location, or at the apiary itself in the beautiful East Anglian countryside where we have a lovely classroom and of course where you can witness the bees flying on warm days!
Read on for examples of the talks we can offer or get in touch if you’ve a specific topic or theme in mind.
Bee-coming a Beekeeper
Eccentric, naturalist grandparents provided Stacy a love of nature that was put on pause for a while when she entered a glamourous corporate world with celebrities, photo shoots and creating tv adverts, but after finding an interest in bees and reigniting her passion for the natural world, her life changed.
Join Stacy on a whimsical journey as she navigates the unusual world of beekeeping and shares her personal journey of reconnecting with nature. Where tea and cake are a pre-requisite of all gatherings, upsetting the bees can result in stripping off in the middle of a field, and find out what happens when your bees get drunk on mead!
Popular Pollinators
The honey bee has become the poster child for the “save the bees” campaign but what does saving the bees really mean and involve and did you know there are over 200 different species of bee in the UK?
Discover the incredible diversity of pollinators beyond our beloved honey bee. In this talk we delve into the simple, yet impactful, actions we can take on our own patches to support these vital pollinators, working together to future-proof our local environment whilst learning a little more about these visitors to our gardens.
Honey Bee Mine
Having been on the planet for millions of years, bees have evolved to be efficient machines, working together as a superorganism to ensure the hive thrives. They truly are fascinating creatures and after learning more about them you’ll never look at a bee the same again!
In this talk, embark on an awe-inspiring journey into the mysterious world of the honey bee, through Stacy’s own captivating videos and photographs, peek inside the hive and unravel the astonishing life of an efficient colony. Prepare to be amazed by the intricate workings of a bee’s life, their remarkable adaptations and unique modes of communication -ranging from intricate dances to melodic buzzing.
If you like the sound of all of the talks but only have time for one then we also offer “a little bit of everything”, touching on Stacy’s journey into beekeeping, fascinating bee facts as well as providing empowering insights on how each individual can make a difference on their own patch. Bespoke talks can also be created to meet the specific interests and requirements of your group; whether that be how beekeeping can help maintain positive mental health, living the good life almost off-grid, or perhaps embracing nature and the outdoors, for example.
“Wonderful speaker. I loved her passion and joy... Its catching!”

I will happily visit schools to give talks, I particularly enjoy visiting infant schools and helping Year 1 and 2 children understand about bees and pollinators. As this is my business, and not just a hobby, I do charge a fee to visit schools but I am happy to travel all over East Anglia to engage with classes.
School visits can also be arranged at the apiary where the children can see the bees up close.
