Visiting from Afar

When we relocated to Norfolk from Essex we moved to a beautiful part of the world that’s close to glorious beaches, rivers and vineyards amongst the many wonders within easy reach of our new home.

If you too would like to explore the area when you’re visiting for a bee experience you may wish to stay somewhere locally, here are a few places that have been recommended to us; if you come across any others do let us know.

JD Young Hotel Located in Harleston just 20 minutes from the apiary, this hotel and restaurant serves delicious food in a beautiful restaurant. Harleston is a lovely market town with plenty of cafes and bakeries to grab a yummy cake from!

Grove Barn Bed & Breakfast 10 minutes from the apiary and set in the countryside between Harleston and Bungay this beautiful bed and breakfast is an adult only retreat with a delicious locally sourced breakfasts and friendly hosts.

Albion Nights is an off-grid eco retreat set within 6 acres of meadowland, just five minutes down the road from us this adult only cabin has been built with environmentally friendly, and recycled, materials for a luxury glamping experience perfect for a quiet getaway.

Tin Can Camping is located just 15 minutes from us and offers retro Americana camping in rural Norfolk. They have a holiday cottage and several airstream caravans that are suitable for families or couples.

Wardley Hill Camping & Glamping has options for if you have your own tent or if you’re looking for a glamping experience instead. This no car campsite is an eco-friendly, off grid site where dogs are also welcome.

Bedingham Hall Farm is another destination for caravans and motorhomes. It’s possible to walk to our location from the farm, across the fields. This is a rural Caravan and Motorhome club site that welcomes dogs and fishermen!

The Gardeners Cottage, Earsham Hall is just a few miles from the apiary and located on the Earsham Hall estate which has a cafe, some shops and art gallery as well as a beauty salon for a relaxing massage!

We hope you enjoy your stay and let us know where you end up so we too can visit.
