Beeswax and Blooms Workshop
Explore the enchanting world of beeswax and blooms. Discover how bees interact with flowers, learn about the beeswax they produce and it’s uses, create your own scented posy with seasonal blooms and handroll a pair of beeswax candles.
This two-hour workshop takes place in the gardens by our apiary where we can see the bees at work from afar, visiting flowers to pollinate and to take food back to their hives. The event will start with refreshments and a chat about bees and a brief “show and tell” focused on beeswax and pollination, we will then make some candles out of beeswax sheets before delving into the world of flowers and herbs; putting together a scented posy filled with bee-friendly blooms.
Refreshments are included and you’ll go home with a beautiful posy in a jam jar, along with a pair of handmade beeswax candles.
This event is taking place:
Saturday 26th April 2025 @ 10am - 12pm
Friday 20th June 2025 @ 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Your host is Stacy, beekeeper, gardener, naturalist (not to be confused with naturist!) and a C&G qualified floral designer. Stacy’s passion for her bees and the world in which they interact is catching so we hope to see you during this craft and nature filled afternoon.
We won’t be visiting the beehives during this event so if you’d like to see the bees in their hives please take a look at our bee experiences
